Two powerhouses of Asian football square off in the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup final as Japan face DPR Korea in the final.
Both teams defeated Australia’s Young Matildas on the way to the final, with North Korea striking the decisive blow with a 3-0 win at the quarter-final stage.
These teams are both committed to up-tempo play and intense pressing meaning an entertaining and potentially high-scoring game could be on offer.
Players to watch include North Korea’s Pak Ok-I who has scored seven goals so far at the tournament, while Japan’s Noa Fukushima found the net twice against the Young Matildas on her way to five goals total.
North Korea are aiming for back-to-back U20 crowns while Japan have made five consecutive finals, winning most recently in 2019.
