Fresh off finishing the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ as runners-up, Joe Montemurro's side's preparations for next year's FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027™ begin.

Win a signed jersey WAC Australia will take on the 153-ranked side, Malawi, for the first time in a senior FIFA International Match. Then, depending on the result of the first match, the side could take on the hosts, 134-ranked Kenya, or fellow AFC counterparts India in the final match.

The CommBank Matildas haven't played any of the teams in their FIFA Series 2026™ group. Australia will kick off their FIFA Series 2026™ against Malawi, then a third-place playoff, and the final will be played four days later, with Australia taking on either India or Kenya.

The FIFA Series 2026™ will be split into four participating groups, which will take place in Brazil – the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ host – Côte d’Ivoire and Thailand.

Fans in Australia will be able to watch the CommBank Matildas games in the FIFA Series 2026™ thanks to Football Australia’s broadcast partner, Paramount Australia.
