At least 15 people are dead after a landslide hit Kenya’s Marakwet East region early on Saturday, November 1. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen said 25 people had been rescued and taken for medical treatment, while 30 people are still unaccounted for. A multi-agency team including the military, police, county officials and humanitarian organisations is continuing search efforts, and authorities have set up a desk for families to report missing persons.
