Boxes containing vital food supplies of rice, lentils, canned fish and meat have arrived in the Caribbean following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa. The category five hurricane made landfall in Jamaica, the strongest of which the country has ever seen. At least 28 people have been killed in Jamaica as a result of the hurricane, with the World Food Programme predicting at least five million people are in need of aid.
