French President Emmanuel Macron has claimed that the United States "is gradually turning away from its allies" during an address to French ambassadors in Paris. Macron's comments were linked to the Trump administration's capture of Venezuelan President in a raid on the capital of Caracas on January 3. The French President said his nation rejects "new colonialism and new imperialism", also listing China's "commercial aggressiveness" that poses a threat to the European Economy.
