A Freedom Flotilla, consisting of a small fleet of ships carrying aid to Gaza, has been intercepted by Israeli military personnel, and its occupants detained, according to flotilla organisers. The Global Sumud Flotilla comprises more the 40 civilian boats and had been carrying around 500 parliamentarians, lawyers, and activists including Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg. Approximately 20 Israeli military vessels are said to have approached the flotilla on Wednesday, October 1. An unknown number of boats were intercepted, including the one carrying Thunberg, in international waters around 130km from the Gaza Strip. Vision shows IDF personnel boarding the ship and taking occupants into custody. This is the second time Thunberg will have personally been detained by IDF forces on board a flotilla vessel.
