Pope Leo XIV has delivered a speech in Lebanon where he repeated his call for representatives to do their part to help achieve peace in the region. Lebanese folk dancers braved torrential rain on Sunday as they performed during a welcoming ceremony for the first American pope who arrived in Beirut from a four-day visit to Turkey. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said during the head of the Catholic Church’s visit to the presidential palace, "we will not die, we will not depart, we will not despair, and we will not surrender."
