The bill makes Trump’s 2017 tax cuts permanent, funds his hardline immigration agenda, and dramatically slashes health and welfare spending, moves critics say will push millions off insurance and food aid. Trump’s holiday signing was packed with pageantry, including stealth bomber and fighter jet flyovers in a show of military might. Despite warnings from nonpartisan analysts that the measure will add over $3 trillion to the already $36.2 trillion national debt, Republicans hailed it as a growth booster. Meanwhile, Democrats blasted the bill as a handout to the rich.

A small plane has crashed just seconds after leaving the runway at London Southend Airport in the United Kingdom on Sunday afternoon. Local media reported the 12-metre plane was returning to Lelystad in the Netherlands, where it is based. Dozens of protesters have faced off against a convoy of federal officers for several hours after immigration officials descended on a cannabis grow house in Southern California. A light plane has crashed into a giant fireball at an airport in London. South-end Airport closed its runway after the plane, which is believed to be a medical transport aircraft, hit the ground just before 4pm local time. Authorities are now trying to determine if there are any survivors.
