Donald Trump has told reporters his administration will "have to take a look" at the prospect of deporting Elon Musk after the billionaire reignited the feud with the US President over his spending bill. Trump also threatened to set Elon Musk’s own Department of Government Efficiency against him stating, “DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon.” The comments came after the president posted on Truth social that DOGE should take a look at how government subsidies are benefiting Musk, who is a South African national and a naturalised US citizen.

Once all awards had been handed out, Trump didn’t follow FIFA president Gianni Infantino offstage as expected, instead lingering beside the players — clapping awkwardly and bouncing in place. Trump also presented several individual honours, including the Golden Ball to Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer. Palmer was the star of the night, scoring twice and setting up another in a dominant first-half display that left PSG stunned.
